Lifestyle family photography is a great way to capture a mix of posed and candid moments with you and your children.
I give direction when needed to create a relaxed candid look – so everyone looks their best! If you are new to family photoshoots, don’t worry – I create a fun experience to capture the beauty of your family.
Family photoshoots are available across Whangarei. If you are looking to capture moments at home, or at a park or favourite beach or hideaway, I would be delighted to ensure those special moments are captured for future generations.
The duration of any Whangarei portrait or photoshoot will depend entirely on you and your desired outcome. Simply let me know the number of people, your preferred location (or setting) and the ages of your children.
The light is best for portraits in the early morning, in open shade or in the evening with the golden light at the end of the day.

I would love to photograph your family and celebrate this time in your life. I will edit all the best images from your photoshoot and send them to you via a password protected online gallery. Once you view your online client gallery of edited images you can then choose your included images and if you wish you can add on additional digital copies or printed products that you love. All digital files are edited as per my portfolio. Printed products are from a quality New Zealand printing lab specialising in albums, frames and prints.
AT THE PARK
$750
A family portrait session at a local park in Whangārei.
30 minute photoshoot, 25 images of your choice, online client gallery to select your images and purchase more if you wish. Immediate family only.
AT THE BEACH
$950
A family portrait session at the beach.
Up to one hour of photoshoot time. This can be a mix of posed portraits and candid moments. 90+ images from your photoshoot will be delivered to you via your online client gallery.

GENERATION SESSION
From $1550
A generation family session for one set of grandparent/s with their children & grandchildren. A perfect time to catch up for a special occasion and capture photos together.
All the best images are included via an online gallery.

Photoshoots are booked for late afternoon or early evening for the best light – particularly at locations that do not have shade options.
A 50% retainer is due to book your preferred date in my calendar.
This is non-refundable for cancellation but I do move your booking for weather or health. The remaining 50% is due 24 hours prior to your original booked photoshoot date.
Travel fees may apply.

Yes. I can. A travel fee will apply though. Due to the nature of outdoor photoshoots and Northlands unpredictable weather, if there is a photographer closer to the location that you can book then that would be best. Otherwise – if you love my work and would like me to travel, let’s chat!
I have some favourite hair and make up artists that I can recommend and they can meet you at your home prior to your photoshoot.
A full clothing info guide will be sent upon booking.
I recommend colour coordinating outfits but not matching.
Neutral tones with either one bold colour or a pattern (think mustard dress or floral shirt). Avoid busy patterns, tee-shirts with logos and slogans and kids clothing with cartoon characters on them. Make sure clothes are clean and ironed and also dress for the weather – no one likes to be too cold or too hot.
Absolutely. I believe the images should be printed and the products be of high quality to last generations. I use Queensberry who are based in Auckland. They specialise in stunning albums, prints and wall art. Please get in touch for pricing info.
